Sorry, I didn’t post yesterday, but things got to be really hectic around here yesterday. Blogging had to take a back seat yesterday. 🙁
92 Days Until Christmas……
My first suggestion is DON’T use FedEx to deliver any package you may be sending to loved ones. I have not yet had a good experience with FedEx yet!!! We have two gates that we lock when we are done going out and about for the day. There is ALWAYS someone home on our property. After all, it’s our house and then my in-laws less than 200 feet away in their home. So, there is very seldom and do mean VERY seldom you will catch our property without someone home. My grandmother-in-law is ALWAYS home and trust me she can tell you everything that happens on the property months later because she writes everything down. (She has recorded that I’m gone more than anyone else on the property.)
FedEx never honks their horns letting anyone know they are here. They don’t give anyone the chance to respond to them being here. They have thrown more packages over our gates than Carter has pills. They have literally thrown packages OVER our gates and left them on the ground even in the pouring down rain. I’ve contacted their customer service about it a thousand times, and have yet to get a sincere apology for it.
I’m not the only one who has this complaint about FedEx. When this article went on Facebook MANY of people also complained about similar situations. I’m NOT saying ALL FedEx drivers are terrible or inconsiderate, but I have one of them that is.
My second suggestion for a Christmas gift is to create something homemade. Some of the best gifts are the ones you hand make. Pinterest has some wonderful ideas!!
I found this one to be one of the best that was posted though because it was inexpensive but yet clever. It also lets the person receiving the gift know that they matter.
This website is where I got it from and there are several other great ideas posted: http://todaysfabulousfinds.blogspot.com/2010/12/15-gift-ideas-under-2.html .
What are some other clever ideas you have??
You’re killing…a Christmas countdown? LOL I can feel the panic setting in as I type this! I need to get through Halloween first! 😉 Though I do appreciate the tip on Fed Ex. They would normally be my “go to” shipping company!

P.S. Thanks for linking up to the GtKY blog hop! 🙂
I hate thinking about how close Christmas is as well. However,I also feel that many people don’t realize how close it is until we’re in December. (I know I’ve been known for doing Christmas Eve shopping to many times. Hence probably why I started doing this for this year.) I’m writing these just as much for myself as for the readers. 🙂 What is your website address??
