Summer Blog-A-Thon 2013 Fun

I have decided that despite my Internet issue that I would still jump on board with the Summer Blog-A-Thon 2013 event because I really want to learn as much as I can about blogging. Plus it is only happening twice a year. Right now is the perfect time for me to do this event.

There are many things that I will get to accomplish and receive credit for doing them. (Yes, I’m one of those people who loves to receive credit for what I’m doing. If I get credit for things, I’m more inclined to jump on board to do them (even if it’s silent credit.)

So I decided to create a list of things I want to get accomplished on this Blog-A-Thon journey.

My To-Do List:

1.) Order the new Internet service, and pray that it works when we get it! DONE! The equipment for it is going to be here next week. I can’t wait to get it. Since it’s provided by the same company we have Internet through right now we should be well pleased because it just changes us over to their Unlimited plan that is made for high speed activity on the web. We shall see what happens. I’ll definitely keep you posted. If it works, you can bank your bottom dollar I’ll be shouting praises to the roof tops for this company.

2.) One of many tasks included on this adventure is creating a blog button. I just created a basic one for this post, but I’ll learn how to make more graphic buttons all in due time.

3.) I’m planning on taking advantage of some of the other mini-challenges that the Blog-A-Thon has put together. They will teach me how to do many of the little things that I don’t know how to do already. Blogging is a constant learning adventure.

4.) I’m going to make time to visit my top 50 bloggers that I love to read their stuff and comment.

5.) Get all of my review posts done and scheduled. I have literally reviewed many products lately, and some of which I get to you readers the chance to win some more products.

6.) Visit the fellow Blog-A-Thonners. Make some more blogging friends.

7.) Work on my Internships some more. (That for me is still blog related because I’m learning a lot from them as well.)

That will keep me quite busy this weekend. I’m debating on pawning off my kids to my in-laws. (I pay for it when I send the kids over there because when they come home because I have to deal with my kids not following our house rules like they should—the typical kid issue!! So, I’m not sure if it’s worth the break from them.) I wish I had my new Internet plan and package already, but good things come to those who wait. I may be in for some long nights over the next couple of days, but I’m confident it will be worth it in the end. Plus hubby is off tomorrow and will be interacting with the kids.

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.

    • I’m getting through it little by little. 🙂 I got a couple of blog posts done for my page. I got my Intern blog post done. I did some blog hopping. Plus I added some neat features to my blog thanks to the mini challenges. I’m not sure what I want to tackle first today after the Twitter party at 3pm.

  1. Reliable Internet is definitely a must-have. Good thing it’s Item #1 on your list. 😉 Hope you get tons more accomplished this Blogathon. I think I’ll probably go back and investigate the mini-challenges after the Blogathon is over to see if there’s any I should pursue.

  2. {Melinda} This is the first I’d heard of it. Sounds like some awesome goals. I’m always coming up with daily and weekly goals for blogging but this looks like a fun way to do it and it gives some accountability, too. I’m going to check it out! 🙂
