The other day I was reading one of my favorite blogs Minivan Momma and she was talking about this pencil sharpener that was totally utterly amazing. Now, she did such a great job of presenting the Classroom Friendly pencil sharpener as being something worth getting that I literally had to see if I could get my hands on one. Well, low and behold, I’ve been blessed enough to get one for our home to review in exchange for a blog post.
I got it and was super excited to receive it. I was like a little kid trying it out. Then once I sharpened one pencil and saw just how sharp it makes the pencils without the led becoming so brittle it breaks at the first use…. my excitement turned into this crazy little video.
Now if you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I’ve NEVER done a video review on a product. This little pencil sharpener impressed me so much I HAD to physically show you how wonderful it is.
Here’s the really neat thing about it…. I don’t have kids trying to sharpen their pencils every hour (or less) anymore. Their pencils get sharpened at the beginning of the week….drum roll please… they stay sharp until almost throughout the entire week.

This is one handy dandy pencil sharpener that you can take anywhere with you. You don’t have to have it plugged in for it work. You can go do your art projects and have a nice sharpener with you. Of course, my kids tried in earnest to make their pencils dull just so they could use the sharpener again, but only got defeated because the pencil was still plenty sharp enough for them to continue doing their school work for the rest of the day (days actually.)
It has made for one less distraction for my day as a home school parent. They already have very small attention spans! Any distractions that can be eliminated out of my day when it comes to teaching these boys is a blessing!!
You can check out these pencil sharpeners and other items they offer at Classroom Friendly Supplies website. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
Looks like a great idea for a busy classroom! thanks!
I told you it was amazing. I don’t manage 30 students anymore, but I do manage three very active kids.
I usually have to replace my blade every year but they are not expensive and it is very easy to change out.
