Friends With Kids- Movie Review

Like usual, I choose a movie by it’s cover and title. I may not agree with how’s and whys that happened in this movie. However, I do feel that it proved that people who are friends first through it all, do tend to have a stronger love than anything else. Love has a funny way of occurring and I’ve found that so many people have different stories. However, the bottom line is love never fails.

I could preach a full sermon about this movie but I’ll save that for the preachers this go around. However, overall I did think this was a good movie. I definitely got some laughs out of it. Plus as I looked at the settings for some of the scenes in it, I realized my house doesn’t look that bad.

Even though, I have baby walkers, seats, playpen (filled with toys), a little baby truck, and dog toys all over my living room. My yard is filled with kid related stuff and not professionally landscaped. Right now, I have dishes ready for me wash, laundry to clean, and floors that need attention, but instead I’m watching my seven month old learn to balance herself on her truck and play that siren sound over and over and over and yes, OVER again. Guess what, I’m loving every second of it.

I learned that we can’t get those minutes back with our kids, and all the rest of the stuff, I can do when she’s in bed or taking a nap. It will all get done one way another.

I took a nap with the kids yesterday, and my oldest had been advised that when you take a nap during the day that you were considered lazy. He called me lazy, and Del was quick to state that “your mom is anything but lazy boy.” That made me feel really good and appreciated for all that I do in a day.

So, overall this movie made me feel really good for my birthday. 🙂

Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! 1. I loved Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph in Bridesmaids, so I hope that they are just as funny in Friends with Kids. The story seems great in the trailer, so I’m really looking forward to seeing it. I have a few Dish coworkers who have seen the movie, and they suggested that I check it out. I’ve added it to my Blockbuster @Home queue so it won’t be long before I get to see the duo again!
