I actually had another post in mind for this one. However, I decided to go with something much simpler. I’m cheating on this one!
I feel like I’m telling my kids to STOP talking ALL the time! I keep reading that statement, “if you don’t listen to them now they won’t tell you what is important later on.” It annoys the tar out of me. Because I’m with my kids 24/7 and there are three of them that feel that they need to jabber.
I give my kids undivided time with me at least once to twice a week to talk about anything under the sun that is on their mind from the given week. I feel that gives them the chance to feel comfortable to talk to me. However, I’m not going to stand for them interrupting people talking nor will I stand for them being loud and noisy when people are working in the home.
With my heart, Delbert, he’s constantly the one I’m saying… Stop It! Just Stop It! to all day long. When he is not in the house we have a peaceful home. The funny thing is it took him until he was 3.5 years old to even talk a peep. Now we can’t get him to shut his trap for NOTHING!
We love him anyways! Del and him are the only ones who can make me smile regardless how upset I am. So, he’s well gifted despite his constant chatter box. He’s my Chatter Box and Zeva is my Fuss Box. Jimmy is my Smarty pants.
What do you constantly tell your kids to Stop it! Just Stop It?
Evan’s a thrower. Blocks, books, puzzle pieces… he chucks everything. I feel like we’re constantly telling him to stop throwing!
