K5 Learning-Review

I told you a while back now that I was having Delbert try out the K5 Learning program. I must say that he has truly blossomed since he started using this program. He’s done Headsprout many times over, and never shown this amount of improvement until I threw in K5 Learning as part of his schooling. He loves it and doesn’t rush to get off. Plus he is challenged according to his level.

In the very beginning they gave him assessments to see what he knew before he could even start the program. That was an extremely nice feature in my book. If you deal with a kid who gets bored with a program because it makes him go through stuff he already knows, then you know how damaging that can be for the kid and the parents as well. In my case, if the kids get a bad taste in a program right away, it’s like pulling teeth to get them to finish the program all the way until they actually do get challenged. (If that even happens.)

I also love the fact that there are many features involved with this program. It covers reading, spelling, math, and offers games as well throughout trainings. There is never a dull moment with this program. Delbert was able to do all of his lessons completely on his own without delay or needing my assistance (which is a huge benefit for me.)

I highly recommend this program. Any program that can help me be able to focus on something else while my kids are truly being taught gains many gold stars in my book. This is especially true when I don’t hear, “Mommy can I stop yet?”

K5 Learning has an online reading and math program for kindergarten to grade 5 students. I’ve been given a 6 week free trial to test and write a review of their program. If you are a blogger, you may want to check out their open invitation to write an online learning review of their program.

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
