I wanted a man cave as a way to kick back and relax away from the noise of the wife and kids. We quickly put together a Man Cave for me. It has quickly become the room in the house that we all congregate to when we want to spend time together. Now that the kids are older it isn’t quite big enough anymore. I’m actually in the process of planning out how my next man cave is going to look. It will have to have more room AND other additions too.
The Desk Area
The first upgrade I’d do is make sure that I have a desk set up with my computer with multiple screens. Best Buy pointed out an option of PC Gaming set with multiple screens makes PC Gaming more enjoyable. For me, it would make creating websites a lot easier too. I would also add in a gaming keyboard and mouse.
The Gaming Area
As you know by now, I’m an avid video gamer. Through the years, I have strived to ensure that I have the latest games as soon as they come out or shortly after. I keep up with the latest gaming news. I have owned/own all the gaming systems on the market. I have to make sure I have room for them all. RIGHT NOW, my man cave has to have a Playstation 4 and an XBOX One. It does have a Wii U, but that’s primarily for reviewing games purposes more than anything.
TV Viewing Pleasure
A man cave isn’t complete unless there is a quality TV in the room. Through the years, we’ve gone through many TVs. We are hoping to get the new Samsung 4K Ultra HDTV since we had to see it in the store. This is ONE VERY sharp TV that will enhance any room!
Seating Arrangements
As I mentioned the Man Cave has become the family zone too. Crystal got to review a huge bean bag that has become a staple in the room. She comes in there at night to watch Netflix now and lounges on it with me. (It gives me extra time to play my games now that she’s hooked on watching Prison Break.) In the new man cave, the kids have to have room for their homemade bean bags too.
A man cave is a perfect haven for men to have. If you haven’t given your man a man cave yet, I highly recommend considering doing it. Think about it, if we have a play room we’re less inclined to be bothering you as much.
What would have to be in your/his man cave?
Oh, can I have a woman cave? Extra screens could mean i could get my work done extra-quick! A comfy chair would mean less back pain….oh to dream the dream of a cave for each of us!

I do enjoy my cave a good bit. I just offered to make one for Crystal. She’ll probably take me up on that offer when Zeva is a bit older. I think everyone should have their own little space especially when you’re married and have kids.

I ‘m with Crystal. I want a woman cave. My husband is not a gamer, thank heavens, but he already has his man cave equipped with a nice TV and room for all his movies and stuff. Me, I have a recliner and a laptop and I do tons of blogging and other computer work from mine, so a desktop with a second or third screen would be terrific.
After doing this post, I offered to build Crystal a woman cave. She opted to wait until Zeva is a bit older. I’m sure she’ll cash in on it though. I’d put a claim on some part of the house as your section. Once school is out, Crystal has the whole living room for herself. Those multiple screens come in handy for sure!!

We just moved into a new house after living in a barn for 2 years! I’m so thankful for the extra space – but a woman cave would still be nice. 😀

3 TVs spread with different consoles just because. 😛
Before, I used to game a lot too, so we got 2 sets. Now it’s only my boyfriend and he’s everywhere.

My husband would lose his mind over something like that. I think there might be a power struggle over the gaming station, though.

I made a “woman cave” in the spare bedroom in our house. I added a day bed for relaxing. It’s also used as a man cave whenever my hubby can sneak in and watch the large TV I purchased. 🙂
That sounds nice. I believe Crystal will have a woman cave soon. She’ll want her big bean bag chair in there too.
